A Private Heritage Island
Accommodation at Fagerholm is intentionally residential rather than hotel-like. Guests stay together in the former coast guard station, a historic building housing twelve double bedrooms under one roof, creating a sense of ease, shared presence, and quiet privacy.
The building has been carefully restored to balance modern comforts with its original history. Interiors are calm and understated, favouring natural materials, muted tones, and functional Nordic design that keeps the surrounding landscape in focus. Each bedroom is named after an island in the Finnish archipelago, subtly reflecting Fagerholm’s commitment to long-term, sustainable partnerships across the region.
International design details are woven in with restraint, sitting alongside custom-made Finnish furniture. Together they pay homage to the island’s long-standing connection to seafaring, trade, and movement across borders.
Fagerholm is available exclusively on a full buyout basis. The ten-acre island and all its facilities are entirely yours, ensuring privacy, discretion, and a highly personal hosting approach throughout every stay.

The heart of the island, the 1960s Coast Guard building houses all twelve guest bedrooms alongside shared living spaces and an open-plan kitchen. Recently renovated, it blends warmth and comfort with its original maritime spirit.
Guest rooms are calm and personal, featuring quality beds, fine linens, and views over the water or surrounding greenery. Five rooms have en suite bathrooms, while the others share well-maintained facilities, creating a relaxed, residential rhythm rather than a conventional hotel experience.
Shared spaces include a light-filled atrium for communal meals and gatherings, as well as quiet corners for reading, conversation, or reflection.

Ideal for welcome dinners or end-of-stay celebrations, the island’s rustic party houses set the scene for memorable gatherings – from crayfish parties in the former boathouse to celebratory dockside dinners with live music.

Nestled at the water’s edge, the Boathouse is an atmospheric dining space rather than accommodation. Candlelit and elemental, it offers uninterrupted coastal views and immediate proximity to the sea, perfect for intimate dinners and special evenings. Its maritime character provides a distinct contrast to the Main House.

Also located by the shore, Lucky Duck is steeped in naval history, with seafaring flags and original details. Primarily used for dining and gatherings, it can also transform into a yoga or movement studio, depending on your programme and group preferences.
