Fagerholm is a great place to bring together key players from my teams across the Nordic countries. It is easy to reach, and the transport has always worked very smoothly. I use Fagerholm’s facilities to hold strategy sessions and meet key personnel face-to-face. We treat Fagerholm like our own island when we have important meetings in Finland. Other group companies and the group’s management also hold their meetings on Fagerholm when necessary.

On the scenic island of Fagerholm, there has been a coast guard station for a long time, which makes it very well suited for organizing confidential meetings, for example between authorities and industry personnel. The port of the former coast guard station and the helipad enable good transport connections by sea and air. The historically valuable archipelago environment, fully renovated coast guard station facilities and professional staff guarantee the safety and privacy of the participants.

A dozen leading startup CEOs and a handful of seasoned Silicon Valley leaders convened on the former coast guard station on Fagerholm island to tackle these questions together. It was magical. We went deep and rose high. Leadership sessions and break-out conversations were interleaved with kayaking, cold plunges and hot saunas.

As an international operator one of my main missions is to get my team from all over the world to work effectively to achieve common goals. I often use the island of Fagerholm to gather key people so that together we can define the guidelines for the implementation of our vision and strategy. The island provides an excellent opportunity to focus on the “big picture” and build a strong team. At the same time, international people get a great experience of the Finnish archipelago and nature. Every member of the team has always given very positive feedback about our meetings at Fagerholm. The location in the middle of the beautiful Baltic Sea, combined with the level of service received, has created several great connections and praise from a global audience.

Our company has held strategy days at Fagerholm. The conference package with associated activities worked great for us. In our company we travel a lot, we work mainly from the home office, so the opportunity to be together without distractions is very important. At Fagerholm, everything worked perfectly in terms of logistics and arrangements. Boat trips from the jetty, service, both during meetings and at the end of the evening, as well as organized activities are excellent. We arranged a boat trip in the Archipelago National Park to Västerby’s fishing farm, paddled to nearby islands and tried jet skiing. However, the most important thing for us during our work at Fagerholm is definitely our peace of mind and the opportunity to focus on our strategy work, since the arrangements were organised for us.

Fagerholm is a fantastic place with outstanding views of the archipelago! The island offers an inspiring environment and I highly recommend it for all kinds of important meetings. S&N’s annual strategy meeting at Fagerholm is one of the year’s highlights! The mind runs better in fresh sea air, while the soul rests! The logistics are handled brilliantly and the facilities are top class!

My start-up has held key meetings on Fagerholm Island, where we have been able to define the strategy of our operation and next steps in peace, without interruptions. In my company, we build and develop several confidential defence and security products. As such it is extremely important for us to have complete privacy and to be able to promote new product innovations and test security systems in a safe place. Fagerholm has been an important meeting place for our company for several years.

I have attended several meetings at Fagerholm. In a private environment and away from everyday distractions, the island enables free conversation, building connections and strengthening partnerships. Now that the island’s main building has also been updated, the island is very well suited for important international industrial and board meetings, especially since the island is approximately the same distance away in time from Helsinki, Stockholm and Tallinn. For many years Fagerholm has been my favourite place to visit.

As a meeting venue, Fagerholm on the outer edge of the archipelago is one of the most beautiful places where we have held meetings. The boat journey from Turku is of a suitable length and already gives a strong sense of what kind of place you are heading to. Fagerholm’s meeting and accommodation facilities are impressive and well-functioning, and the food and breakfast service are also excellent. Fagerholm is a place that can be recommended for groups of 10–20 people looking for a meeting venue, as well as for those seeking a more relaxed destination.

I only stayed 5 days and I truly wish I’d stayed longer as also exploring other islands in the archipelago would have been wonderful
